Sgt. Pepper

I just checked out the Map of Metal and I figured out that my favorite matal sub-genres have to be alternative metal and thrash metal becuase they are the lighter of the metals. I'm sorry if I affend anybody by saying that I cannot stand black deathcore, but I'm entitled to my own opinion and it is no thank you! Though what I really want to talk about is the Beatle's album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band. First of all I just don't understand this album. It seems to me that Paul still wants to write about girls and cute stuff like that while John is getting down right weird with his lyrics. I can practicaly smell the drugs through his music it's so obvious and I'm guessing that is why I find it so hard to understand. I also really only liked two songs on that album which makes me think that I don't like it as much as other people do.
I'll sit back and say thank you to the Beatles and appreciate their music.

An inspiring song writer

Two people who have really taught me to think are Maynard James Keenan of Tool and J. Loren Wince of Hurt. J. Loren taught me to face my feelings instead of just reject them and pretend there isn't anything wrong while Maynard taught me to question religious ideas. I'm going to talk about Mr. Wince though. The name Hurt is a perfect fit for the feel J. Loren uses in his songs. He has some of the most deep and poetic lyrics I have ever listened to and read. It makes sense to me that he uses his poems for lyrics because it makes for a very beautiful song as long he can back up the lyrics with worthy musical talent (he does a fine job by the way). If there are two songs that I can recommend to a wide range of people they would be Alone With the Sea off of their fourth album, Vol. II and Pills off of Goodbye to the Machine, their fifth album. Check it out! Seriously! I'll even put links to them on here because I'm nice.

You Are Welcome

Maggie's Farm

Bob Dylan is a very influential person and there are many covers of his songs and even tribute albums. I don't really like most of the covers, but one that really stands out and I can really jam to is the Maggie's Farm cover my Rage Against the Machine. I think the reason I like that cover is because it is WAY more aggressive, yet it still doesn't lose its meaning. This is a song that is definitely worth a six minute listen!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmceSj07_fs
